DRESS CODE INFORMATION

As prom is a formal event, we require formal attire. As you begin dress /suit/tuxedo shopping, please keep the following general guidelines in mind:
Male Guidelines:
1.Male attire is a suit, sport coat, or tuxedo with a tie.
2.Shirts should be buttoned to the second button from the collar.
3.Pants should fit properly and not sag below the waistline.
4.Dress hats are permitted.
Female Guidelines:
1.Coverage Rules:
•Bra-style tops are not permitted.
•The dress may not expose skin directly below the chest area and must completely cover that area. Do not expose skin directly at or above the belly button. Midriff exposure must be limited to no more than 2 inches.
•Dresses with side cutouts must cover at least 4 inches of the midriff in the front.
2. Backless Dresses:
•Allowed, but the back should not dip lower than the small of the back.
3. Strapless Dresses are allowed.
4. Dress Length and Slits:
•Slits, high-low dresses, and shorts under skirt styles must be fingertip length or longer.
•Dresses with matching undergarments that are visible due to the slit are not permitted.
5. Necklines and Mesh Fabrics:
•Use discretion for: low-cut fronts, lace, mesh, or sheer sections.
•Mesh fabric is allowed but should be lined with lace or non-see-through material.
While we will be reasonable in the interpretation of these guidelines, we also want you to exercise good judgment. If you are in doubt about attire, please send Mrs. Weaver a photograph of the front and back of the dress in question BEFORE you purchase it during the school week.If in doubt, please ask.
